Happy Birthday to Me!!

Ok, so even I'm two days late *Grin* But that's ok. I'm making time to sit down and do a blog. The past week hasn't been very eventful, but very thoughtful.... meaning full of thought. Until today :) Well... this weekend...

Last week, I was actually getting quite depressed. My 30th birthday was drawing nearer... (on the 22nd) and no one seemed to care (cept Rick of course, and his mother). It actually took an almost-six year old girl (Rick's niece Heather) who was excited to be sharing her birthday dinner with me, to get me out of the dumps. Yeah, I was not very happy about having to MAKE my own birthday dinner (when Rick's family's rule is the birthday-person doesn't do the cooking OR the cleaning), but it worked out for the best. I got a beautiful silver locket from Rick, that I'm wearing every day so far, and will put a picture of him in it, as soon as I get one small enough.

Friday, I walked into work, and my team-mates had decorated my desk for my birthday. Yesterday, I got the card that they all signed. Today, they brought in donuts. Not very healthy, but much appreciated :) And then, in the middle of a call, I got a message that I had a flower delivery out in the hall.... I went out and got it, and carried it back in with a few raised eyebrows. When I opened them up, the card said: "Happy 30th Birthday, Love Bill & Michele". The flowers were beautiful!! They're on my desk. I'll post a picture when I get one. There are 3 beautiful roses, in full bloom... a few purple gladiola's and some white flowers that haven't bloomed yet (neither have the glad's but I'm looking forward to it). I think the white/yellow ones are tulips - but I'll keep you posted. Michele - I know the glad's (My favourite flower btw, Rick musta snitched hehe) were supposed to be yellow, but that's ok, the flowers are still beautiful and I love them. They're going to stay on my desk at work until they can't stay anymore - then I can enjoy them every day. But I did look up her work number to call and say thank you vocally!!

Michele - thank you for helping to make this birthday one I won't forget. I can't wait until September when I can give you a big hug!!

Ok... I'm going to bed now. When I can think clearer I'll write again!!
