Hello hello! Yep, today is the day that Harry Potter 6: the Half Blood Prince got released... and we paid for our copy and walked out of the book store at 12:19am this morning ;) We went straight there from work and hung out with everyone else. You would not BELIEVE how many people were lined up!!! Rick is reading it now (the bastard! *grin*) and I'm willing him to read FAST so I can get my hands on it. I can't wait!!
Ok... next topic... I got an email from Mary-Ann a while back, and she said that my blog rocked (thanks girl!!) and she asked me to put her in it... so I am. Let me explain who she is first :) I started working at Fidelity, where I am working now, in October. Mary-Ann was in my training class and we sat together in the back row for the first half (or so) of our training. Then we got moved. But anyway, in those three weeks, we learned to trust each other, and shared some very intimate things with each other (things I won't repeat here). But because of that, and the situations we were in at the time, we became pretty close friends. After training we didn't talk to each other much, but at least kept ourselves updated in each others lives... Mary-Ann has since left Fidelity. She got her dream job - in the horticulture department for the city of Toronto, so she gets to spend her days outside gardening for the City. Cool huh?
Mary-Ann is beautiful... blond (not sure if it's natural [sorry M-A] but it looks good on her), I believe it's blue eyes, kinda on the short side... she's been going to the gym lately, so she's lost some weight... at the time I knew her, she honestly didn't have a lot of self-confidence... she didn't feel that she was pretty or that she'd ever find what she was looking for, or that she could ever forgive herself for a few things that happened... but I continually told her to stuff it *Grin* It wasn't her fault, have fun with what you have, live life to the fullest, and if someone doesn't find her sexy and attractive, then fuck them! They don't deserve here. Hey, Rick even offered Mary-Ann (through me, and I don't think I actually told her) a roll in the hay if she needed it *grin* Now, I think she's in lust with her trainer. Or her boss... one of them LOL Hey, I told her to GO FOR IT!! There's nothing wrong with some wild, unadulterated sexual pleasure :) I'm sure they'd thank you for it... and a woman has needs too!!
Ok... I'll get off my horse... but I wish Mary-Ann the best of everything, and I hope that she's now found her "happy space"... she was so down and depressed before. Last time I saw her, her face was joyful almost. I'm so happy for her!!
Ok... next topic (I love these blogs hehe) We bought a new digital camera last week... 10 x optical zoom, 4 megapixels... we got it from Walmart of all places. We had been looking at the same model with a 5 MP, but decided that to save almost $200, we'll drop down one... it's a great camera... Kodak something or other. Takes nice pictures LOL We went for a walk down to the bluffs last sunday after we bought it to test it out, and I'm glad we did. We got some great nature shots... Oh... we went on Tuesday night, too. That was funny!!! Well... guess you had to be there. Anyway, I was home early and had the dog and everything else ready to go when Rick got home at 6:30pm from work. So we took the dog down there, too... we walked down to the beach, walked along the beach and hit the end of it where there's this huge rock shelf that juts out into Lake Ontario and cuts the beach basically in half. I'm wearing sandals, so is Rick... so we take them off and go walking on the beach... Then we decide to go around the rock and go to the other side... So Rick stays close to the rocks, and I'm wading out into the lake (I'm in shorts, but the shorts get wet... being 6'0 tall and with most of me leg, knowing that the water was basically at my crotch level, you get the picture as to how deep I went)... the dog isn't used to water. Poor Perrin!! (when we all fell out of the boat into the lake at the cottage a couple years ago, Perrin found the dock quicker than you can say "Supercallafragileisticsexpialladocious")... Anyway, I digress. Perrin has to wade into the water himself, and for the most part, he says where it just touches his underbelly... but everytime he could get onto a rock and shake off he would. I'm sure he would have run (or balked) if he wasn't attached to the lead in Rick's hand... So anyway, he gets himself up onto a huge rock, and he's in the habit of jumping from rock to rock (ya know to avoid the water from touching him hehe) and it was a helluva lot deeper than he thought it was... he got DUNKED! He was sOOO dripping wet... head and everything was drenched to the skin... he got up so fast!! He tried shaking it off and got wetter cuz he was still IN the water hehehehe!!! the next rock was too big for him *chuckling* and he was scrambling to get onto it and out of the lake.... didn't make it. You could just see him shaking in relief when he finally found a rock he could stand on to shake all the water off his body. ... it took us a good 30-45 min to get around the rocks, wading through the water, but I'd never seen Perrin run so fast when he spotted land and he knew he could reach it. That's my story about Perrin *Grin*
On a sadder note... my cousin died last weekend. His name was Steven. He was actually my Mom's cousin... Mom's mom (Nana) has one sibling, Carol. Carol married Stu and had Michelle and Steven. Michelle is married to John and living with him and their 2 girls in Belleville, but Steven married Marion and has a daughter and they were living in Vancouver. Last I heard was that Marion and Steven were divorcing and Aunt Carol was out there with him, keeping Marion from taking him to the cleaners.... and then I get an email from Mom saying he died on Sunday evening.... when I was growing up, every Boxing Day, we would all go to Aunt Carol's for the day to celebrate with that side of the family... I always tried to get a picture of Michelle and Steven in front of the tree. I know I still have one somewhere... but they were my favourite cousins growing up, even though I don't know them well as adults... My thoughts and prayers go out to that side of the family...
On that note, I'm going to sign off... we may be going to see Willy Wonka today... or going back to the bluffs... we haven't decided :) Talk to you soon!!
