BC Trip, Day 6-7 - Pictures!!
Ok, this is the last batch of pictures. We took a whole bunch whale watching, but I'm only posting the good ones... most of them are of the fins in the water, but you can't see much of the whales... oh well, what can you do? Remember that the synopsis of the trip is after all the pictures, so please feel free to scroll down and read... we had a great time there, and a just-as-good time sharing our adventure. I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as we had taking them.
This is Chris the Omelette Chef. Very very nice guy! He made a restaurant suggestion, though we were unable to take him up on it.
A shot of the Hotel Dining room. The buffet part was behind that grid in the back.
The view from our hotel room window.
The ship that took us whale watching.
Up on that block, you see a tiny person... he is the lookout. He has a 10-15 mile telescope that can spot the whales and marine-life on the water. He then radio's that info to the boats in the surrounding area so they know where to go.
This is the best pic we have of a whale. After doing some searching online, Rick was able to identify him as Hugo, in L pod.
This whale is doing a "breach" where they jump up and out of the water. Cool huh?
This one was so close to the boat it was almost like we could reach out and touch it. The entire experience was amazing.
This is a lighthouse. Rick wanted to get one closer up, but this is the best one - the mountains and the clouds in the background make the picture itself breath-taking.
Another mural along the shore.
A Great Blue Heron on the pier.
This is us and Kyle, the bellman who was so amazing. The picture was taken by Sean, one of his co-workers.
Home sweet home. Taken from the plane upon approach back to Toronto. Boy was this a great trip.
